Hilary Langworthy head Teacher
Hilary first spent time in Old Forge in 2002 during her school breaks from SUNY Potsdam where she completed her BA in English and went on to complete her MA in secondary education. She lives in Old Forge with her husband and daughter (who attends the Kinderwood Program). She is passionate about caring for and educating 3 and 4 year olds. Her background has led her to work in different preschool and childcare settings - including our local school - where she has fostered many children over the years. This experience allows her to forge connections with each individual child while encouraging their individual interests. Hilary completed her training and certification with the North American Montessori Center and additionally is a Child Development Associate. In the past she has worked as the Director and Preschool Teacher of the daycare in Old Forge. She is well-versed in NYS regulations and training. Hilary’s favorite thing about the Kinderwood Program is that it is play-based. “This is how kids learn best!” She loves the focus on outdoor education and looks forward to expanding Kinderwood’s outdoor play space. She cares deeply for our community and the future of all our kiddos!
